Delta Omicron Wins Most Improved Chapter Award And Recognized For Excellence in Operations

Delta Omicron received the Most Improved Chapter Award and was recognized for Excellence in Operation Excellence at the 65th Grand Chapter held in Dallas Texas on July 11-15, 2012.

The Most Improved Chapter Awards recognizes those collegiate chapters that have displayed the greatest operational gains over the course of the biennium. Qualifying chapters are those that have shown significant improvement in their Pursuit of Excellence Program ratings from the first to the second year of the biennium. These chapters, should they maintain performance at their current levels, are expected to rise to the level of Rock Chapter in the subsequent biennium

According to Scott Smith, Director of Leadership Development for Sigma Nu, "The main take-away for Delta Omicron is not only their significant improvement over the past few years, but a recognition that their continued hard work and upward trajectory, if maintained, could merit Rock Chapter recognition in the near future." Smith continued, "Congratulations to the chapter and alumni on this award and thank you for the hard work you have all put in to return the Delta Omicron Chapter to prominence!"

Excellence in Operation Excellence is one of the three standard areas in the Pursuit of Excellence Program. The Pursuit of Excellence Program is Sigma Nu Fraternity's chapter assessment, standards and improvement program. Unlike traditional "minimum standards" programs, the Pursuit of Excellence Program is designed to be a year-round planning, evaluation and improvement program. Excellence in Operation Excellence recognizes chapters that show excellent performance in the areas of Recruitment & Manpower, Chapter Operations and Governance & Accountability.
